Kawartha Lakes Police confirm that the body of a missing 11-year-old boy was found in the Scugog River.
Sgt. Deb Hagarty said at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) underwater team recovered the boy’s body in the Central Ontario river, which connects to Lindsay, Ont.
No foul play is suspected.
“The investigation is ongoing… we would like to thank everyone in the community for all of their support,” Hagarty said.

The search for Draven Graham began at 3 p.m. on Sunday when his father reported the boy missing from their home on Queen Street in Lindsay.
Police say Draven, an autistic person, was observed on video surveillance walking north on Caroline Street, and some of his clothing was recovered in the area.
Sgt. Hagarty said the boy had “limited verbal skills” and a “sensory irritation to touch,” which is believed to have bothered the boy on Sunday during a period of rain.
Investigators with Kawartha Lakes Police are encouraging the public to support the family but to respect their privacy at this time.
“Everyone involved has a heavy heart at this time,” Sgt. Hagarty said. “Anyone else that has been affected by this news is encouraged to seek the required support.”
