10 outdoor pools to open in Toronto on Saturday. Where to take a dip
What better way to beat the heat than to take a dip in one of Toronto’s outdoor pools.
Ten outdoor pool locations open early on Saturday but on a partial schedule. For now, these specific pools will be available on evenings and weekends.
The City of Toronto says other pools will open on June 25, and complete schedules will begin on June 30 — the same date wading pools will be available. Splash pads are currently open.

Opening of popular Toronto Olympic pool delayed until July
While some outdoor pools are getting a head start by welcoming back guests on Saturday, one popular summer attraction and 50-metre Olympic pool in The Beaches won’t be open to the public until next month.
The City of Toronto says Donald D. Summerville pool in Woodbine Beach won’t open to the public after employees discovered damage to the liner caused by winter weather.
“To ensure the facility can open for the 2022 season, staff are expediting an emergency liner replacement for the 25-metre pool,” City of Toronto officials said in a news release.
Staff are hoping the smaller, 25-metre section of the pool will be ready by the end of July, but fixes to the 50-metre swimming section likely won’t be completed until 2023.
City officials say the pool repairs at Donald D. Summerville do not affect the washrooms and food vendors.
