Police hunting for suspect vehicle after gun battle on Highway 400

Police are on the hunt for a vehicle involved in a drive-by shooting on a major GTA highway that left one person with serious injuries.
The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 south of Finch Avenue shortly before 1 a.m., when two vehicles began shooting at each other.
Paramedics tell CityNews the driver of one of the vehicles was transported to hospital with gunshot wounds. The victim is currently in non-life-threatening condition.
Police say the suspect vehicle is a dark two-door sedan which fled the scene before officers arrived. The vehicle was last seen speeding southbound towards Highway 401.
A firearm and shell casings were located in the area.
All southbound lanes of the 400 were closed from Finch to the 401 overnight for the investigation, but the highway has since reopened.
