Man arrested after Chinese consulate guard had assault-style pellet gun pointed at him
A man is under arrest after pointing an assault-style pellet rifle at a security guard at the Chinese consulate in Toronto.
Toronto police responded to a gun call at the building located at St. George Street and Bernard Avenue, south of Dupont Street, around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police allege the man pulled up in a vehicle across the street from the consulate and pointed an assault-style weapon at a security guard at the front gate.

The next day, officers executed a search warrant in Thornhill and seized several pellet guns and tactical body armour.
Police arrested 27-year-old Shuang Zhu of Thornhill and charged him with pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Zhu appeared in court in downtown Toronto on Thursday.
