1 dead, 1 critically hurt following single-vehicle crash in Hamilton

One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash in Hamilton on Monday evening.
The collision occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403 near the exit for the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.
Police say the vehicle crashed into the guard rail on the right shoulder of the highway.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver suffered critical injuries.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
The right lane of the eastbound 403 at Lincoln Alexander Parkway remains blocked for the investigation.
