3 hurt in shooting inside busy Queen West nightclub

Three people are in hospital with injuries following an early morning shooting inside a busy nightclub on Queen Street West.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 2:40 a.m. on Monday at Daisy, a cocktail bar located near Queen and Augusta Avenue.

Police tell CityNews the club was packed with people and was about to close for the night when the shooting occurred inside.

Paramedics say three people suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and are recovering in hospital. The victims include two males and a female.

No suspect descriptions have been made available.

Queen Street had been closed in both directions between Bathurst Street and Spadina Avenue for the investigation but has since reopened.

Nightclub shooting caps violent weekend in Toronto

The triple shooting inside the Queen West nightclub marks the eighth shooting in the city over the weekend. The incidents left a 15-year-old boy dead and eight others wounded.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings so far.

The 15-year-old boy killed is Toronto’s 30th gun murder victim of the year.

There have been 285 shooting incidents in Toronto so far this year, leaving 30 people dead and 110 others wounded.
