IN PHOTOS: Remembering Toronto police Const. Andrew Hong

By Patricia D'Cunha

Thousands of police officers and community members paid tribute Wednesday to Toronto Police Const. Andrew Hong, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

A funeral procession took place starting from the Kane-Jerrett funeral home in Thornhill and made its way westbound along Highway 407 to the Toronto Congress Centre in north Etobicoke.

Officers from several forces across Canada lined the procession route to pay respects to Hong. Community members gathered to view the procession from a number of highway overpasses between Yonge Street and Highway 27.

A service is being held at the Toronto Congress Centre, which included eulogies from Hong’s wife and his daughter, as well as tributes from dignitaries. Watch it live on CityNews.ca.
