Woman found dead inside Vaughan home after fire, homicide unit investigating

York regional police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead inside a Vaughan home on Friday.
Fire crews responded to a structure fire in the Parktree Drive and Lucena Crescent area around 7:45 p.m.
Police on the scene located a woman inside the residence. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators say there is no threat to public safety.
No suspect information was provided. The investigation is ongoing.
