A 36-year-old man is facing charges after an alleged violent incident involving a Toronto parking enforcement officer near Christie Pits.

Toronto police were called for reports of an assault on Saturday, September 24, in the Christie Street and Bloor Street West area.

Investigators say the parking enforcement officer was working near the park when he was approached by an angry man who became verbally aggressive.

It’s alleged the man followed the officer to his car, and once he was able to get into his vehicle and roll up the window, the man then punched the driver’s side window and spat on the windshield.

Police arrested 36-year-old Dylan Driscoll of no fixed address on Sept. 24.

He was charged with assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, assaulting a peace officer and breaching probation.

Driscoll remains in police custody.
