1 injured after ambulance collides with another vehicle in Vaughan

One person is in hospital after a collision involving a York Region ambulance and another vehicle in Vaughan.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 50 and Rutherford Road just after 6:30 a.m. on Monday.

York Region police are on the scene but say this is a Peel police investigation.

Peel paramedics say the driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital to be assessed for injuries that appear to be minor.

The paramedic who was driving the ambulance was not injured.
