Motorcyclist killed in crash on Highway 400 near Bradford

One person is dead after their motorcycle crashed on Highway 400 near Bradford on Thursday night.
The collision occurred around 9 p.m. in the northbound lanes between Highway 88 and 89.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Reports from witnesses say the motorcycle was travelling at extreme high rates of speeds prior to the rider losing control, hitting the wall and sliding a considerable distance before coming to rest ,” says Schmidt.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The highway was closed in the area for several hours but roads have since reopened.
