Suspects sought following double drive-by shooting in Vaughan

York Regional Police are searching for suspects after a double drive-by shooting in Vaughan sent to two men to hospital.

Police responded to a call that someone was shot near Weston Road and Highway 7 around 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Officers located two men, a 27-year-old and 28-year-old, with gunshot wounds at the scene. Police say the two victims were inside a vehicle at the time of the shooting.

They were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and remain in stable condition.

Investigators say they believe the shooting was targeted. No suspect information has been released.

Weston Road was closed in both directions at Highway 7 for the investigation but roads have since reopened.
