Police investigate threat made against Oakville high school

Halton regional police are investigating after a threat was made against a high school in Oakville.
Just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, police said Oakville Trafalgar High School, located on Devon Road near Lakeshore Road East and Ford Drive, was placed in lockdown.
Around two hours later, police said the lockdown has been lifted.
“Oakville Trafalgar High School has been cleared by officers and is deemed safe. Police presence can be expected in the area. Investigation is continuing,” police said in a tweet.
The details of the threat are not yet known.
During the lockdown, parents and students were asked not to attend the school.
