Scarborough crash sends two to hospital, one with critical injuries

A 55-year-old man is fighting for his life following a crash in Scarborough.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Markham and Kingston roads just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the driver of a Nissan was heading east on Kingston, turning left onto northbound Markham, when it collided with a Toyota heading west on Kingston that entered the intersection.

The driver of the Nissan was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota received minor injuries.

An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
