Man attacks woman, tries to put bag over her head in shocking Brampton assault video

Peel Regional Police are warning residents in Brampton after video surveillance captured the vicious assault of a woman approached from behind by a man who tried to put a bag over her head, striking her multiple times.

Investigators say the violent incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2022, when a woman was walking in the Higgins Crescent and Parkside Drive area.

Video surveillance from outside a home shows a hooded figure, confirmed to be a man, approaching her from behind. He then tries to put a bag over her head and forcefully strikes her. After a short struggle, he’s seen fleeing the area on foot.

Police said the woman did not suffer any serious physical injuries.

The male suspect is described as approximately 6-foot-1 and was last seen wearing a light-coloured hoodie and dark sweatpants.
