A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed on a TTC bus at Old Mill subway station.
Police were called to the area of Bloor Street West and Old Mill just before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim was suffering from stab wounds to his body and legs and taken to a trauma centre with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
A suspect, described as in their 20s with a medium build, wearing a blue mask and a black jacket with the hood up, was last seen running eastbound on Bloor Street.
Police could not say at this point if the suspect and the victim knew each other.
It’s the second stabbing on the TTC in as many days after a woman was stabbed in the head and face on a Spadina streetcar Tuesday and the fourth case of violence in five days on the city’s transit system.
Earlier in the day, a person was arrested after allegedly chasing two TTC workers with a syringe.
The TTC released a statement on Twitter, saying their thoughts are with the victim of this attack.
“As always, we’ll give police our full support as they investigate, including video and witness statements,” continued their tweet.
