A 77-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Toronto’s west-end.

Officers were called to the Jane and Ardagh streets around 2:15 p.m. on Monday after getting reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.

A female pedestrian was crossing Jane Street eastbound when she was allegedly struck by a white 2015 Mercedes-Benz that was making a left turn after travelling westbound on Ardagh.

Police say the traffic light was green for westbound traffic.

The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 76-year-old man, remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
