3 arrested, 1 other wanted in Moss Park stabbing

Three men have been placed under arrest and one other is wanted following a fatal stabbing in the Moss Park neighbourhood earlier this month.

Police say a man was attacked by a group of people just before 1 a.m. on March 6 in the area of Sherbourne Street and Queen Street East. During the course of the attack, the man was stabbed. He was taken to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition but later died of his injuries.

The man was later identified as 55-year-old Jeffrey Munro.

On Friday, March 17 police arrested 36-year-old Hussen Elmi and charged him with second degree murder.

On Saturday, police said 35-year-old Christopher Williamson was taken into custody and charged with second degree murder.

On Sunday, 21-year-old Jedidiah Creighton-Chevalier was taken into custody and charged with second degree murder.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for two other men, 27-year-old Hussein Ibrohim and wanted for second degree murder.

“[He] should be considered armed and dangerous and the public should not approach,” police said in a statement.
