One dead after early morning high-speed crash in Etobicoke

One person is dead after an early morning high-speed crash in Etobicoke.
Police say a silver SUV and a black Ford F150 pickup truck were travelling westbound on Dundas Street at a high rate of speed when they lost control and collided with a “fixed object” on the roadway approaching Nottingham Drive.
The SUV crashed into the backyard of a residential home, killing the 37-year-old driver.
The pickup truck rolled over and came to a stop on the roadway. The driver, 37-year-old Christian Salazar of Toronto, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
A passenger in the pickup truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
