Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Brampton, life-threatening injuries

Peel Regional Police say a man struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Wednesday afternoon has been rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews were called to the Main Street North and Williams Parkway area at around 2:45 p.m.
Police say the driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Details are slim at this point and there’s no word yet on possible charges.
The northbound lanes of Main Street have been closed between Williams Parkway and Brickyard Way.
Police are warning drivers to find alternate routes.
