Sportsnet’s Tim & Friends ending after two-year run

Tim & Friends host Tim Micallef announced Monday that the Sportsnet show will be coming to an end after a two-year run.

Tim & Friends began after Tim & Sid, originally hosted by Micallef and Sid Seixeiro, had its final episode with the duo air on Feb. 26, 2021, as Seixeiro departed to join Breakfast Television as its new co-host.

The Tim & Sid show made its debut on Sportsnet 590 The Fan on Dec. 12, 2011, before eventually making the move to television.

A simulcast on television on Sportsnet 360 starting in 2013, the show was relaunched on Sportsnet as an afternoon television show in 2015.

The Toronto Blue Jays home opener on Apr. 11 will be the final episode of the show as Micallef will be moving to endeavours with the Sportsnet Central team.
