Man airlifted to hospital after being ejected from vehicle in Hwy. 400 crash

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being ejected from a vehicle in a crash on Highway 400 south of Barrie.
The collision occurred in in the southbound lanes of the highway near Highway 89 in Innisfil around 11 a.m. Friday.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says two vehicles were involved in the crash. CityNews 680’s chopper flew over the scene and witnessed two vehicles with heavy damage that had rolled off the highway into the ditch.
Police say a man in his 20s was ejected from his vehicle as it rolled over. He was airlifted to a trauma centre via Ornge air ambulance.

Another person from the same vehicle was taken to hospital with injuries. A third person from the second vehicle involved was brought to hospital with minor injuries.
All southbound lanes from Highway 89 to Highway 88 were reopened to traffic around 5 p.m.
