Man in his 20s seriously injured in Etobicoke shooting

A man in his 20s suffered non-life threatening injuries following a daytime shooting in Etobicoke.

Police were called to the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and The West Mall just before 2 p.m. for reports of gunshots. When they arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim allegedly drove himself to the parking lot behind a plaza at 666 Burnhamthorpe Road to call 911.

Three bullet holes were also allegedly on the victim’s car, two on the windshield and one on the engine bonnet.

No suspect details have been released at this time and there’s no indication what may have led up to the shooting.
