Woman seriously injured in Weston Road stabbing

A woman was seriously injured in a stabbing in the area of Weston Road and Humber Boulevard on Monday morning.

Toronto police were called to an apartment building in the area shortly after 7:45 a.m., where a man reportedly stabbed a woman in the lobby.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested at the scene.

There is no word on whether the victim and suspect were known to each other at this time.
