Man in 20s dead following stabbing near Finch Station

One person has died following a stabbing in North York  on Sunday night.

Emergency crews responded to reports of an incident around 9:58 pm near Yonge Street and Hendon Avenue, just north of Finch subway station.

Police say a man in his 20s was found at the scene with a stab wound. He was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Later, police updated that the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No suspect information has been made available.

The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
