Elderly woman seriously injured when struck by vehicle in North York

Toronto police continue to investigate after an 82-year-old was struck by a vehicle in North York.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Lawrence Avenue West and Duval Drive near Keele Street around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say the woman was crossing Lawrence from the north to south side, on the east end of Duval, when she was struck by a pick-up truck that was making a left turn from Duval to Lawrence.
The woman was hit on the east side of the intersection on Lawrence in the crosswalk.
Paramedics rushed her to hospital with serious injuries.
There is no word if the driver will be facing any charges.
