Man in critical condition from head-on collision in Caledon

A man is in critical condition following a head-on collision in Caledon on Friday morning.

Emergency services responded to a call at approximately 6:10 a.m. on Highway 10 at Old School Road.

Aerial footage from the scene shows a flatbed truck and a car collided with the front of the car smashed in.

The driver of the passenger vehicle sustained serious and life-threatening injuries and Peel paramedics transported the man to a Toronto-area trauma centre in critical condition.

Highway 10 has re-opened in both directions from the 410 to King Street. Old School Road is also open from Kennedy Road to McLaughlin Road.

The investigation is ongoing.
