3 injured in Mississauga stabbing during domestic incident, man in custody
A man is in custody, and three people were injured during a domestic dispute and triple stabbing in Mississauga early on Friday morning, Peel Regional Police said.
Residents were woken up by the sounds of screams and yelling from a semi-detached home on Consort Crescent, near Dundas Street West and Mavis Road, just after 12:30 a.m.
“When I came outside I could hear my neighbour across the street yelling ‘come quick, come quick, he stabbed my sister and I think he’s going to stab my mom,'” said one neighbour.

CityNews has confirmed a 16-year-old girl was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto and is listed in stable condition. A 40-year-old woman, believed to be the mother, suffered serious injuries and her 18-year-old son was treated and released.
“The adult woman remains in serious but stable condition, the male has since been medically cleared, and the female under 18 is stable and in non-life threatening condition,” a police spokesperson said.
For several hours police were searching for a suspect who fled through neighbouring yards before a man in his 30s returned to the crime scene just before 6 a.m. and surrendered to police.
Police say this is being investigated by their intimiate partner violence unit and that all three victims and the suspect lived together inside the home. Neighbours tell CityNews they believe it is the stepfather who is now in custody.
Police say there are no outstanding suspects and no threat to public safety.
