Someone stole 25 golf carts from a Niagara region course

Golfers at a Niagara-region course could be walking their 18 holes for the fore-seeable future.

That’s because someone stole 25 golf carts from Beechwood Golf and Social House in Thorold.

Niagara Regional Police say the brazen theft of the carts took place sometime between 10 p.m. on July 2 and 6:00 a.m. on July 3.

In a release, investigators said they have “reason to believe that the golf carts were driven across the course onto Beechwood Road somewhere and loaded into a vehicle.”

The course has been in business since 1960, according to its website.

Police have not released any suspect information.
