Man and woman dead, 2 others injured in overnight Scarborough shooting
A man and a woman are dead, and two other people were seriously injured in a quadruple shooting at a plaza in Scarborough overnight.
The shooting happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday at a plaza in the Ellesmere Road and Brimley Road area.
Toronto Paramedic Services located four people — three men and one woman — with gunshot wounds. The female victim was transported to a trauma centre in critical condition, and she later died in hospital, while two other men suffered serious injuries.

A fourth victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two men recovering in hospital underwent surgery for their injuries.
Toronto police are expected to reveal the victims’ identities once next of kin are notified.
Det. Benson said there is no suspect information at this time, and it’s unclear if the shooting was targeted. Authorities recovered a firearm at the scene but declined to elaborate any further.
As many as 50 shell casings were located at the scene.

A resident who spoke with 680News Radio Toronto said she heard what sounded like arguing before gunfire erupted at the Scarborough plaza. Bullet holes can be seen on one of the vehicles in the parking lot.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation. Officers are canvassing the area and searching for surveillance video while urging members of the public with any information to come forward.
