3 arrested in altercation, shooting involving tow trucks in Brampton

Three people were arrested, and one man was injured in an altercation that preceded gunfire being exchanged between tow trucks in Brampton on Tuesday evening.

Peel Regional Police (PRP) were called to a plaza near Mountainash Road and Bovaird Drive East around 5 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

A victim was located and transported to a hospital. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

A PRP spokesperson confirmed with CityNews that the altercation involved tow truck drivers.

“A total of three suspects were arrested, and a male adult was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound,” police said. “This is an ongoing investigation, and we have limited information beyond this.”
