A jewellery story in the Fairview mall was robbed for a second time in just two weeks during regular mall hours.

Three suspects, all youths, have been arrested after a jewelry store in North York was robbed for the second time this month, according to police.

Officers were called to Fairview Mall just before 8:45 p.m. for reports of a smash-and-grab robbery involving five suspects who were allegedly armed with hammers.

Authorities say they have three suspects in custody and are on the hunt for two others who fled on foot with an unknown quantity of merchandise.

A 14-year-old from Toronto, a 15-year-old from Toronto and a 17-year-old from Brantford, Ont., are facing charges of robbery with an offensive weapon and disguise with intent.

The 15-year-old and 17-year-old were also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.

All three are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Footage from a tipster showed a heavy police presence in the area surrounding the mall, near Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East.

    An investigation is ongoing.

Earlier this month, a similar smash-and-grab robbery was reported at the same mall. Footage posted to social media shows several suspects entering a store armed with hammers. The suspects allegedly broke open the display cases and took a large quantity of jewelry.

It is unclear if the two cases are related.
