Officers assaulted by driver after stopping vehicle from entering film shoot in Etobicoke

Two Toronto police officers have been assaulted after stopping a vehicle from entering a film shoot in Etobicoke.

The officers were at the film shoot just before 1 p.m. in the Evans Avenue and Brown’s Line area when a vehicle attempted to enter the area.

When the officers stopped the vehicle, a male driver exited the vehicle and allegedly assaulted the two officers.

Both officers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A male in his 40s has been taken into custody.
