    UP NEXT:

Toronto Police are investigating a homicide after a man’s body was found on the University of Toronto’s campus Thursday morning. Brandon Choghri has the details as the investigation continues.

Toronto police have confirmed that a man found dead on the University of Toronto (U of T) campus Thursday morning was a homicide victim.

No details on the circumstances surrounding the man’s death have been made available at this point.

Investigators were called to Queen’s Park Crescent near Grosvenor Street just before 8:30 a.m. after a passerby discovered the body.

Police say the man does not appear to be a university community member.

“It is shocking definitely,” one woman who works in a nearby building told CityNews.

“I saw someone on a gurney, and I didn’t really know what was happening, and it kind of puts a grim cover on our day.”

A small bouquet of flowers was left at the scene as police continued with the investigation. No other details were immediately provided.
