SIU called in after man seriously injured following Brampton crash

A man has been rushed to a hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police officers were called to the Torbram Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard area near Castlemore Road just before 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Paramedics tell CityNews a man was transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Footage from the intersection shows one vehicle involved in the crash.
It’s unclear what led to the collision but the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been called in to investigate.
The SIU is an independent government agency that investigates the conduct of police officials that may have resulted in death, serious injury, sexual assault and/or the discharge of a firearm at a person.
