Five arrested after violent swarming at Oakville McDonald’s

Halton police have arrested five people after a violent swarming at an Oakville McDonald’s that sent one person to hospital with head and facial injuries.

Because one of the five people arrested is under the age of 18, and cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the video of the attack has been removed from our website.

Police are still looking for a sixth suspect.

The attack happened outside of the McDonald’s at 2510 Hampshire Gate, near Dundas Street West, at around 4 a.m. on Aug. 21.

In the video that has since been removed, two males can be seen attacking one of the victims.

One of the suspects puts the male in a headlock while the other takes a few swats at him near the fast food restaurant’s side door. A third suspect enters the fray just as the camera catches another attack taking place nearby.

Police say the victims, two males and a female, all suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Five people were arrested on Thursday.

Shequille Passard, 20, of Toronto, has been charged with sexual assault, aggravated assault and two counts of breach of recognizance. Semere Netzereab, 19, of Mississauga, has been charged with aggravated assault and two counts of assault. Jonathan Netzereab, 22, of Mississauga, has been charged with assault. Trinez Constantine, 19, of Mississauga, has been charged with obstructing police.

A 17-year-old male from Mississauga has been charged with aggravated assault and assault.

The sixth suspect is male, black, tall, with a thin build. He is in his late teens or early 20s, and was wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt with a white undershirt, dark-coloured jeans and dark running shoes.
