Woman serious condition after Rexdale collision

A woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being trapped in a vehicle following a crash in Rexdale.

Police say the car was making a left turn from westbound Albion Road to southbound Highway 27 when it was struck by a dump truck at around 11 a.m. Friday.

Paramedics said the female driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with minor injuries. The truck driver also suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
