DNA Results Confirm That Larry Birkhead Is The Father Of Anna Nicole Smith’s Baby

Another chapter in ongoing saga surrounding Anna Nicole Smith’s tumultuous life and death was penned on Tuesday after DNA tests revealed that Larry Birkhead is the father of her baby.
Birkhead emerged from a court hearing in the Bahamas Tuesday declaring that the baby, Dannielynn, would soon be in his custody.
Birkhead hugged his rival, Howard K. Stern, who had claimed all along that he fathered the child.
Stern has been caring for Dannielynn since Smith’s died suddenly from an accidental drug overdose in February.
Upon hearing the news, a dejected Stern said he would drop the fight for custody.
“I’m obviously very disappointed but my feelings toward Dannielynn have not changed,” Stern added
Smith’s mother, Virgie Arthur, who was also fighting for custody, seemed to accept the results.
“I’m happy that Dannielynn will know who her real father is,” she said outside court.
Dannielynn could inherit millions from the estate of Smith’s late husband, J. Howard Marshall II.
Smith had been fighting the Texas oil tycoon’s family over his estimated $500 million fortune since his death in 1995.
