Elderly woman hospitalized after apartment fire

An elderly woman remains in hospital in serious condition after a fire at a community housing building early Sunday.
It happened at 600 Rogers Road near Keele Street.
The victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital after being found without vital signs by fire crews.
The two-alarm fire, which broke out around 4:30 a.m., was contained to one apartment on the fifth floor.
An investigation is underway.
