Mother of deceased baby in London dumpster charged with neglect

Police in London, Ont., say charges have been laid against the mother of a baby whose body was found in a dumpster.

The baby’s body was found at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a 23-year-old woman was arrested Saturday morning in Amherstberg, Ont.

She was taken for medical attention and then returned to London.

Police say the woman has been charged with neglecting to obtain assistance in childbirth and disposing of the body of a child after delivery.

The investigation in continuing.
