Afternoon shooting in North York sends one man to hospital

A man, believed to be in his 20s, is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in North York on Sunday.

Police said the shooting happened at 3:25 p.m. on Goldsboro Road near Finch Avenue and Islington Avenue.

Paramedics said the victim was shot several times in the upper body and that he was shot when he was inside a vehicle.

A second person was also injured in the shooting but police said they suffered minor injuries.

Police are searching for two suspects that were seen possibly fleeing in a white car. The first suspect is described as a black male, in his 20s, muscular, and was wearing all black. The second suspect is described as a being a black male, five-foot-seven, stocky and was wearing blue jeans.
