Even after close to two decades in the music business, Toronto’s Barenaked Ladies manage to maintain the same youthful enthusiasm. Still, even by their standards, their new album seems destined to appeal to a much younger audience.
That new record, entitled ‘Snacktime,’ is actually something for the kids, and they performed a few of the delicious tracks Tuesday night at CHFI FM‘s Kindergarten Ball.
“Kids can be the toughest crowd, because they’re completely honest,” admitted guitarist Ed Robertson. “If they’re bored they just tune out but if they’re into it they let you know and dance around and have a good time.”
All told BNL has 11 kids, ranging from six months to 12 years of age.
‘ Snacktime’ is in stores now, but the band is planning a full length album for later in 2008 for all its grown up fans.
