Police Believe Garage Fire Was Intentionally Set

A rash of suspicious fires have plagued Toronto for months, and now police reveal yet another blaze that they believe was deliberately set.

The latest in a string of troubling incidents took place on Thursday morning at around 3:05am. Police say someone set a garage on fire at 538 Pape Avenue.

Several garages have been targeted since May. In one instance a fire spread to an adjoining house.

Toronto Police are asking the public to be vigilant and report any type of suspicious activity in and around laneways and garages.

Officers will be spending the upcoming weekend canvassing affected the areas for information.
