Fire officials are trying to determine what caused a blaze near Alliston that claimed one life and sent two others to hospital with serious injuries.
Officials were called to a home in the small town of Lisle around 11:30pm Thursday. When they arrived flames had engulfed the entire house.
Two men, ages 18 and 51, are alive thanks to the brave efforts of a neighbour and a volunteer firefighter who pulled the unconscious victims from the inferno. The men suffered serious burns and were transported to two hospitals, one in Alliston and one in Buffalo that specialize in burn treatments.
There’s been no word on the name or gender of the person who died in the fire.
