4 students arrested for robberies at Central Commerce Collegiate

Police have arrested four students accused of robberies at Central Commerce Collegiate Institute in the city’s west end on Friday.

A gun call came shortly before 1 p.m. and the school was placed in lockdown mode for almost two hours.

Four youths are in custody in connection with two separate robberies. Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

No weapon was found and no one was hurt.

CityNews incorrectly reported earlier that the lockdown was at Central Technical School.
