OPP charge North York man in motorcycle passenger death

WHITBY – The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a 37-year-old man after a passenger on a motorcycle died following a collision on Highway 401 in Whitby.
Police have charged Rashid Soujah of North York with manslaughter.
On August 27, Ioana Bocunescu, 40, of Toronto, was a passenger on a motorcycle when she was dislodged from her seat and struck by multiple vehicles.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say an officer in a marked cruiser signalled for a motorcycle to stop on the westbound Highway 401 but the motorcycle instead sped up and the passenger on the back fell off.
