Prepare to pay a fortune for next round Canucks tickets

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – As you can imagine, tickets for the Stanley Cup playoffs are going to cost you a pretty penny.

Ticket broker Kingsley Bailey says prices are going to be higher if the series features the Boston Bruins, because their fans are very loyal and are willing to travel, putting the squeeze on ticket availability.

“With Boston, we’re going to see prices escalate and go through the roof. I’d say starting at probably about $700 for an entry-level seat. I’m seeing ticket prices for good club seats in about the $2,200 range.”

A quick check on e-Bay reveals a pair of tickets going for $6,000.

He admits ticket sales were soft for the last two series, but he says since it’s been 17 years since the Canucks have reached this level in the playoffs, he believes there won’t be that problem this time around.
