Google Maps upgrades, includes indoor directions for U.S. airports, retailers

Google has released a Maps upgrade that includes indoor directions for 16 U.S. airports as well as mega-retailers like Home Depot and Ikea.

For now, the directions are only for places in the U.S. and Japan.

Directions are available for aiports in cities such as Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco.

So far, the maps can only be viewed on smartphones and tablet computers that run on Google’s Android software.
