Gerald Tremblay, the Mayor of Montreal, is pressing Air Canada to reverse its decision to transfer 140 jobs from his city to Toronto.
Tremblay said it is vital for Montreal to keep as many jobs as possible because of the soft economy.
The affected jobs include the scheduling of pilots and flight attendants.
Although Air Canada’s head office is situated in Montreal, its main national and international hub is in Toronto.
