Former Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan ready to appear in court

The producer of “Desperate Housewives” and the network have been sued for wrongful termination and battery.

Nicolette Sheridan was the first witness to take the stand in Los Angeles Thursday.

Sheridan claimed she was written out of the show because she accused Mark Cherry of striking her on the forehead.

The defense claims it was the former head of ABC Entertainment who allowed Sheridan’s character to be killed to generate buzz for the show.
